Interactive career assembly held at Old Rochester

MATTAPOISETT — On Feb. 15, nonprofit organization “STEAM the Streets” hosted an assembly at Old Rochester Regional High School .

According to the Old Rochester Regional School District, STEAM the Streets is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide high schools with a deeper dive into the world of STEM and art-related career paths through interactive programming.

In collaboration with Mass Hire, the group encourages students to engage in career discovery by humanizing career fields through multimedia presentations, read a school district press release.

"It's important for our students to explore career paths that fit their unique strengths, and I'm excited we shared this opportunity with our students," said Superintendent Mike Nelson.

The presentation, titled “This Can be You,” was designed to help students see themselves in different STEM and arts careers.

The show was hosted by performer, musician and presenter Angel Diaz, also known as "DJ Anghelli."
