MATTAPOISETT — Spend a spring day by immersing in images of the planet’s coldest, driest and windiest continent.

Beginning April 2, visit the Mattapoisett Free Public Library to view “An Antarctic Adventure: a photographic essay of the incredible beauty of Antarctica,” an artist series exhibit by Mattapoisett resident Ray Rose.

Rose, who has traveled to all seven continents, captured the photographs during a recent trip to the Antarctic, according to a Mattapoisett Library press release.

“Of all the places he visited, Rose feels Antarctica was the most incredible,” the press release said.

The exhibit is free and runs until April 30.
