Beverley Grace (Howes) Moore, 91
Beverley Grace (Howes) Moore, 91, died Monday, Aug. 29 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Beverley was born Feb. 28, 1925 to Harold and Aleatha (Oeuderkirk) Howes, one of seven children. She graduated from Stoughton High School.
Beverley met the love of her life, the late Robert Moore and was married in Brockton on June 9, 1945. She and Bob were married for 53 years.
Beverley and Bob started Moore Saw Company together and worked side by side to build a successful business until 1972, when they retired to their summer home in Mattapoisett.
Beverley's family meant everything to her, and she loved to spend time with both family and friends. She was actively involved in a bowling league for many years. She loved knitting, reading and found great joy watching the RedSox and the Patriots.
Beverley's faith was very important to her and was expressed through listening to music and her many years of volunteer work at Mattapoisett Congregational Church.
Beverley was the beloved mother of Alan Moore and his wife Sandra, Barbara Funk and her husband Michael, Robert Moore, Terri Canty and son Scott Moore and his wife Stacey; 11 grandchildren, Cheryl Jandzinski and her husband Gary, Amy Markley, Todd Funk and his wife Michelle, Troy Funk, Tyler Funk and his wife Meg, Robert Canty and his wife Amy, Kristen Canty, Michael Canty, Alexa Moore, Osanna Barikian and Victoria Moore; many great grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Barbara Juliano, William, Bernard, Harold, Bruce and Robert Howes.
A celebration of Bev's life will be held on Monday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church, 27 Church St. Burial will be private.
