By Susan Pizzolato | Feb 16, 2017

School vacation will  be looking and smelling squeaky clean at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library on Thursday, February 23rd from 1 to 2 pm. Kristen Boucher will be showing families how they can create better, safer products during the Clean Kids Make & Take Workshop. Families can register by calling the Children's Department at 508-758-4171, or stopping in.

Children 5 years old and up with an adult are welcome, and will learn how to make
simple, fun, and healthy homemade personal care products that can support your child's wellness this winter. And the best part: adults and children can take home the products they make, free of charge.

During this informative session, participants will learn:
* The top 5 toxic chemicals that are in so many personal products that we use daily and why they are harmful
* How they can affect physical and mental health
* Easy & inexpensive steps to take + D-I-Y ideas & recipes to remove these toxins from home
