Gleason Family YMCA Weekly Knitting Group
|Gleason Family YMCA|
|33 Charge Pond Rd.|
Have you always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet? The Gleason Family YMCA Knitting/Crochet group is willing to teach you the basic stitches at their weekly get together on Wednesday's, 1 pm -2:30 pm, in the Community Room at the YMCA. The group makes items that are donated to Turning Point & Baby Point, a resource for families in need in the community, and other agencies where needed. Projects include hats, mittens, scarves, baby afghans, baby sweaters. etc. in basic stitches. If you want to learn the basics of knitting or crochet then we are willing to teach you, but you must bring along your own needles. Yarn is available for those who don't have a stash of yarn, surplus from previous projects created by the group.
Anyone interested in working with the group but unable to attend the Wednesday get together at the YMCA is welcome to work at home. Please contact Pat Lockhart via email at email@example.com.
