Rochester Town Administrator gets contract extension, clerical assistant
Rochester — The Rochester Board of Selectmen approved a three-year extension to Town Administrator Suzanne Szyndlar’s contract on Monday prior to Town Meeting.
When Szyndlar was hired her original contract was for six months. The Selectmen had to renegotiate two months before that contract was up.
“We did that and we’re happy with the way things are going so we moved forward,” Selectman Brad Norse said.
The board also approved the hiring of a clerical assistant for Szyndlar. Kelly Smith will officially begin next Monday in the 19-hour a week position to assist Szyndlar with administrative duties.
