Applications open for Woman’s Club scholarships

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club is offering three scholarships totaling $6,500 to three Mattapoisett residents this academic year. 

Two $2,500 scholarships will be offered to male or female high school seniors planning to graduate during the current academic year. Scholarship applications are available in the guidance offices at Old Rochester Regional High School, Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, Tabor Academy, Bishop Stang High School and Bristol County Agricultural High School. The application is also online at mattapoisettwomansclub.org. 

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is Sunday, March 31. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered. 

In addition, the club will offer one $1,500 continuing education scholarship award to a Mattapoisett resident who is planning to pursue a bachelors, masters, CAGS, doctorate, or other academic degree or advanced career or trade certification during the coming year. 

“The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club is a philanthropic organization that plans and executes fundraising events to help generate the revenue for these and other charitable donations,” according to a Mattapoisett Woman’s Club press release. “Our scholarships are intended to support the club’s belief in the importance of education as well as its grateful dedication to the community for supporting the necessary fundraising.”
