Registration is now open for the Buzzards Bay Swim, a fundraiser put on annually by the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

On Saturday, June 22, swim a 1.2 mile open water course that starts in New Bedford and finishes in Fairhaven.

Swimmers will be treated to a pancake breakfast and Buzzards Bay Brewing beer upon finishing.

An awards ceremony will follow the event.

Participants can request an escort in a kayak for additional support.

Registration for the event is $25, with a commitment to raise $300 to benefit the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

The event is open to ages 11 and up. Kids aged 11 through 18 that register commit to raising $150 rather than $300.
