Mar 26, 2024

MATTAPOISETT — The Old Rochester Regional School District and MA Superintendency Union #55 announced March 25 that openings are available in the district’s Project GROW preschool program.

The program is “an effort to provide high-quality pre-schooling to children in Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester,” an Old Rochester Regional school district press release said.

Openings are available to all children who reside in Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester who will reach age 3 before Sept. 1, 2024.

The program consists of two different classes, one of which meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while the other meets Tuesdays and Thursdays. Those classes are $3,780 and $2,520 per year respectively and are held at Sippican School, Rochester Memorial School and Center School.

Participating children can attend the program at the school located in their respective town.

“The goal of the program is to provide preschool to children whose families have been unable to enroll in another program and who desire a preschool experience,” the press release said. “The program also aims to provide an inclusive learning environment for children with special needs.”
