ROCHESTER — The Rochester Historical Society will be having a spring evening of song and stories.

On Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m., the society will be joined by the Woodchopper Tribute Band. Children of the original Woodchopper group will provide a “musical trip down memory lane.”

The Rochester Historical Society is also soliciting donations as it looks to maintain its museum building, an 1887 structure on the National Register of Historic Places.

There is a current need to replace the steeple from which panels have been falling, causing leaks and falling plaster inside the building. $3000 is needed to fix the steeple.
