Marion — Actors from the Fairhaven Village Militia and the Wareham Minutemen Militia set up camp at Silvershell Beach this weekend.

Dressed in traditional colonial garb, actors performed tasks from days past and shared their history with visitors.

The encampment is a two-day event, and the actors slept on-site in their tents.

"It's really not too bad," Claire Smith said.

Some actors were tinsmithing, while others prepared food.

"We're making onion pie," Mia Quinlan said. "It's better than it sounds."
