COTUIT – The Wareham Gatemen (24-16-1) take on the red hot Cotuit Kettleers (21-17-3) at Lowell Park for the final time of the regular season at 5 p.m.

The Gatemen enter the game today looking to win four in a row which would tie their longest winning streak of the season. Wareham had yesterday off, but won their last game on Sunday 10-6 over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. Austin Shenton hit two homers and had a season-high four RBIs to lead a Gatemen offense that had 15 hits. Zach Hart recorded the win for Wareham going five scoreless innings in that contest.

The Kettleers enter play today the best team in the league over their past 10 games. Cotuit is 8-2 over their last 10 and have also won three games in a row. The Kettleers are now tied with the Falmouth Commodores for third place in the West Division.

Cotuit won yesterday 9-2 over the Brewster Whitecaps as their bats were outstanding in the win and especially over their last 10 games. Cotuit is hitting .312 with 13 homers over their last 10 games and are even better over the last five at .339 with seven homers.

The Gatemen have undergone two roster changes since their last game. Sahid Valenzuela and Will Proctor are both no longer with the team and two new pitchers, LHP Carter Bach and LHP Brendan Cellucci.

Bach joins the Gatemen from Wake Forest where he just finished his sophomore year. Bach had a season to forget posting a 10.46 ERA after having a 3.26 ERA as a freshman.

Cellucci comes to Wareham from Tulane where he just finished his freshman season. In even appearances, Cellucci gave up five runs in 2.2 IP.

RHP Jack Ralston (0-0, 10.39 ERA) makes his first start of the summer tonight. Ralston pitches tonight for the first time in two weeks as he has not pitched since July 15. In his last outing, Ralston struggled to find the strike zone as he faced four batters and walked three of them.

LHP Zane Collins (1-0, 4.44 ERA) makes his fifth start of the summer tonight and his 11th appearance overall. Collins has faced Wareham three times already this summer and has done so with great success. He has pitched seven scoreless innings in his three outings versus Wareham.
