Mattapoisett — Halloween in Mattapoisett means more than just a pumpkin patch and candy (though there are plenty of both).

At the Lions Club's annual Family Fun Fest on October 21, the club added a little extra something to the holiday. Not only was the "Ghostbusters" theme playing in Shipyard Park and a pumpkin patch available, but a hayride crawled through the village's streets.

The hayride cart was pulled by a tractor, and families rode through Mattapoisett Village before returning to other options; "Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin" was a popular choice. Other children chose their pumpkins from a pumpkin patch, played corn toss, and colored away at Halloween-themed printouts.
