Marion Cultural Council asks public to take survey

Sep 28, 2016

Marion — The Marion Cultural Council is looking for help. The council wants people who live and work in town to help advise on how to best allocate public dollars for programs and activities in the arts, humanities and interpretive science.

The council is a volunteer, municipally appointed group that receives an annual allocation of approximately $4,400 to fund projects by individuals, organizations and schools that serve a broad range of interests and needs.

Because the group distributes public dollars, it wants to gather local public opinion and learn more about what the community needs to help develop useful criteria and funding priorities to guide its grant-making decisions.
