Mattapoisett police search for woman wanted for 25+ violent threats

Police are looking for a woman who has threatened to bomb the Mattapoisett Police Station, and kill Mattapoisett police officers.

The threats are amongst a series of other threats she has sent to various police departments and public buildings within Massachusetts.

Heather Perkins currently has an active warrant out, issued by the Mattapoisett Police Department, amongst several other warrants from other police departments. Her last known residence is 199 East Clinton Street in New Bedford.

Perkins is wanted in connection to a series of violent threats, which have been sent to nearly 25 police departments, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Bridgewater State University, and Springfield College, according to a message on the Mattapoisett Police Department Facebook page.

A threat she made on Friday caused a brief evacuation of New Bedford City Hall.

According to New Bedford Police, Perkins is 5 feet and four inches tall, weighs about 147 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes. Another prior address includes 116 Ruth Street, New Bedford.
