Plumb Library to host greyhounds, decluttering expert

Mar 20, 2017

Rochester — Learn about greyhounds and do some spring cleaning with Plumb Library in April.

April is National Greyhound Adoption Month

On Saturday, April 1, from 10:30-11 a.m., meet reading/therapy dog, Amos and learn about greyhounds, their origins and anatomy, what makes them great pets, and care requirements from Denise Schumtiz.

Schumtiz is an adoption representative from Greyhound Pets of America, Massachusetts. She has been been volunteering for GPAMA since 2012 and helped to find homes for more than 300 greyhounds. Schumtiz and her husband Matt have six greyhounds of their own at home. On April 1, she will talk about Greyhound Pets of America, Massachusetts, their mission, how they receive their hounds and how they find homes for them. Brochures and pictures of current adoptable dogs will be shared.
