Sippican Lands' Trust's summer yoga series is back

Marion — Sippican Lands Trust’s Summer Yoga Series will return to Brainard Marsh starting Saturday, July 29. The Summer Yoga Series will run on three consecutive Saturdays from July 29 through August 12, starting at 10 a.m..

The series will be run in partnership with Anchor Yoga & Meditation located in Mattapoisett. The event is free for members of the Sippican Lands Trust and $10 for non-members.

Deb Fraine will lead the yoga sessions at Brainard Marsh on Saturday, July 29 and Saturday, August 12. Deb has been practicing yoga for 20 years and is a registered member of Yoga Alliance, having completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Donna Pagliarani at the Dharma Connection in Sandwich, MA.

Jessica Webb, owner of Anchor Yoga & Meditation, will lead the yoga session on Saturday, August 5. Jessica has been teaching mindfulness programs and yoga full time for six years and pours her energy into retreats, workshops, group classes on mindfulness, meditation, stress reduction, and yoga for those wishing to lead a richer and fuller life.

Brainard Marsh is a 7-acre parcel of land located along Buzzards Bay in Marion and was donated to the Sippican Lands trust by the Brainard Family.

Brainard Marsh features a lovely meadow, pond and small beachfront. Parking for Brainard Marsh is located near the corner of Bass Point Road and Delano Road.

Parking is limited and the Lands Trust advises taking care in parking, or riding a bike.

Participants are advised to bring a yoga mat, water, bug spray, sunscreen and maybe even a friend to enjoy some yoga on the beach.
