Plumb Library book clubs
Rochester — Plumb Library's book clubs will read the following books.
The Just the Facts nonfiction book group will meet Thursday, Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss “Lights Out: A Cyberattack, a Nation Unprepared, Surviving the Aftermath” by Ted Koppel.
A well-designed attack on America's electric power grids could cripple much of the country. Koppel explores how this would affect the country, how some people are preparing and what steps are being taken to prevent such an eventuality.
The Café Parlez fiction book club will discuss “The Night Country” by Stewart O'Nan.
At midnight on Halloween in a secluded New England suburb, a car carrying five teens leaves a winding road and slams into a tree, killing three of them. One escapes unharmed, another suffers severe brain damage. A year later, summoned by the memories of those closest to them, the three who died come back on a last chilling mission among the living.
The discussion will be Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. Books are available at the library desk.
